Zachary James Allan Marihart, 49, of Iowa passed away on August 5, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny).

Zach was born on February 3, 1977, in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Ames High School and later graduated from DMACC. Zach worked many years as a flooring installer, taking pride in his work and the people he met along the way.

He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially camping, fishing, antiquing, mushroom hunting, and scrapping. Zach loved being outdoors, finding treasures, and making memories with the people he cared about.

Those who knew Zach will always remember him for his kind and giving heart. He would help others without hesitation and his warmth, generosity, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Zach will be deeply missed and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

Zach is survived by his son, Logan Marihart; mother and stepfather, Debra and Jon Eickholt; sisters, Bobbie Zeimen and Heidi Eickholt; longtime girlfriend, Susan Vang; and many nieces and nephews.
