Obituary For Tristan Samual Teague

Tristan Teague, 23, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025. Tristan passed due to an undetected medical condition and left us too soon.

Tristan was born on January 9, 2002, to Michele and Gary. Tristan grew up in Ankeny, Iowa and attended school there from preschool through high school, graduating in 2020 from Ankeny Centennial High School. He earned his Associate Degree from Des Moines Area Community College and later attended Iowa State University, where he studied finance. During high school and college, he worked at Outback Steakhouse and Menards in Ankeny and Ames.

Tristan was kind-hearted and sensitive, with a deep and loyal love for his family and friends. Tristan would do anything for those who needed help and comfort. He was a compassionate soul, always ready to listen, lend a helping hand, and offer a warm hug. Growing up, Tristan loved reading, playing ball, exploring, and being silly with his beloved siblings, Phoebe and Ashton, and friends. As he grew into a young man, he kept his clever sense of humor and took pride in taking care of his family, including his girlfriend Alayna and dog and companion Moose.

Tristan was looking forward to what the future held for him and was excited to grow his circle with new nephew, Liam, and brother-in-law, Matt. Tristan and his family shared a deep devotion to one another.

Left to cherish his memory and celebrate his time on this earth are his mother, Michele Wald (Michael); his father, Gary Teague (Claire Mattan); his sister, Phoebe Bruce (Matt) and their son, Liam Bruce; his brother, Ashton Teague; his grandparents, Richard and Margaret Rogers; his step-siblings, Birdy Wald, Nolan Mattan McElligott, Elyse Mattan McElligott, and Kayden Mattan; best friend since Westwood days, Luke Lacey; girlfriend, Alayna Bahe; and many more family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Teague; and grandparents, Thomas and Lois Teague.

Tristan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

His family finds comfort in knowing he is in God’s arms, trusting in the promise of Psalm 23.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
