Obituary For Salvador Carreon
Salvador G. Carreon, of Des Moines passed away on December 25, 2024.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA) on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a brief time of sharing to begin at 6:00 p.m.
Sal was born on July 9, 1964, to Salvador and Angela (Alba) Carreon. He was a graduate of Dowling Catholic High School. He received his mechanical certification at Lincoln Technical Institute.
Sal started his career at Sears and later worked at Western Auto, Saturn of Des Moines, and Bob Brown, before working as an ASE certified technician for CarMax for several years.
He was a Star Wars geek (May the Force Be with You), loved mustang cars, trail biking, jet skiing, and watching football (Go Cowboys)! He also loved his 80's rock music and spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.
Sal is survived by his children, Brock (Karly) DeVaughn, Salena (Brett C.) Carreon, and Vincent Carreon; grandchildren, Kambrie, Bodie, and Beau; his mother, Angela Carreon; sisters, Sandra (Jose) Mendoza and Lisa Carreon; brother, Steven (Shana) Carreon; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Salvador M. Carreon.
