Obituary For Ronald Dean Terrell
Ronald “Ron” Dean Terrell, 80, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Ron was born on September 5, 1945, to Bob and Irene Terrell. Ron graduated from Ankeny High School in May of 1963. In September of 1963, Ron enlisted in the Army under the buddy plan with two classmates. He served four years, including a tour in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry Division and received a Purple Heart for his service.
Ron is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pat Terrell; children, Kari and Glen; brother, Bobby (Deb) Terrell; his stepchildren, Shaun and Beth; 5 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Kay Terrell.
