Patricia L. Beasley, 93, left this world peacefully on January 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Ankeny Iowa.
Patricia was born October 27, 1932, in Elma, Iowa, to Harry and Minnie May Clark. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School where the faith that would guide her life first took root.
Patricia spent her career as a computer programmer, a role that reflected both her intelligence and determination. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, traveling, playing bridge, mahjong, and most of all entertaining her family and friends. Her home was a place of laughter, stories, and full tables.
She was a proud and devoted mother. Her love for her children was fierce, steady, and lifelong, the kind of love that made everyone feel safe, supported, and deeply known.
Patricia’s faith was the quiet foundation of her life. A devout Catholic, she found comfort and strength in prayer, often with rosary beads in hand, a steady ritual that carried her through both joyful days and difficult ones.
To know her truly was to love her. She had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and at ease. Her resilience carried her through life’s challenges with grace, and her strength, both gentle and unshakable, was something her family will carry with them always.
Patricia is survived by her five children; Kevin Kelsey of Sarasota, Florida, Tim (Kim) Kelsey of Ankeny, Iowa, Randy (Shari) Kelsey of Waterloo, Iowa, Greg (Kelly) Kelsey of Henderson, Nevada, and Lisa (Doni) Heck of Upland, California; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Larry (Nancy) Clark of Henderson, Nevada, and a sister, Sharon Myers of Davenport, Iowa, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Oliver Beasley; her brother James “Jim” Clark; and her sister, Norma Jean (Dede) DeForest.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Church (650 Stephan Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa). Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
