Obituary For Linda Fine

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Linda Lee Fine of Ankeny, Iowa on Sunday, March 23, 2025. The sweet, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after her battle with dementia at the age of 76.

A funeral service will be held at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to service time. She will be laid to rest at Ankeny Memorial Gardens. Following the committal service, a lunch reception will take place at Ankeny First United Methodist Church – Christian Life Center (710 NE 36th St., Ankeny, IA).

Linda was born in rural Bloomfield, Iowa and raised on the family farm. She married Dale Fine in December 1968, and they were married until her passing. As newlyweds, the couple moved to Des Moines to start their married life together. They welcomed sons Derek and Aaron in 1971 and 1972. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her family will forever remember her kindness, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh.

Linda is survived by her husband, Dale; sons, Derek (Jill) Fine and Aaron (Mindy) Fine; siblings, Larry Bowling (Glenda), Judy Ruble and Jane Bowling; eight grandchildren, Nick Weeden, Crystal Bertholf, Michael Fine, Brandon Kelderman, Jayden Kelderman, Caitlynn Kelderman, Oliver Fine, and Alexi Fine; seven great grandchildren, Lily Weeden, Layne Weeden, Zeke Bertholf, Lucy Weeden, Charlotte Bertholf, Brynnlee Kelderman, and Callum Plumb, and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Inez Bowling of Bloomfield, Iowa.
