Obituary For Linda Ann Graham

Linda Graham, 76, beloved sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away on November 2, 2026, following a tragic automobile accident.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny) followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Born on June 5, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa, Linda was the daughter of Raymond and Rosalie Graham, who instilled in their family the importance of togetherness and the simple joys of life. Linda lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, adventure, and extraordinary accomplishments. She leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1968, Linda continued her education at Simpson College. She went on to build a successful career with Meredith Corporation, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring.

While Linda enjoyed a fulfilling professional career, her greatest passion was bowling. Her talent, determination, and love for the sport took her to remarkable heights and earned her recognition both nationally and internationally. One of the proudest moments of her career came in 1990, when she captured the title of Queen of the Amateur Tenpins at the USAMF Women’s World Cup Final in Pattaya, Thailand, proudly representing the United States.

Linda's impressive bowling accomplishments included winning the 1985 USBC Women's Championships doubles event, earning the title of 1989 U.S. Amateur Champion, and representing Team USA in international competition. She was also part of a historic moment for ten-pin bowling when the sport was featured during the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Linda was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 1992 for Superior Performance. Bowling was much more than a sport to Linda; it was a passport to the world. Her talent and dedication took her on adventures across the globe, including Germany, Ireland, South Korea, and many other destinations. Along the way, she formed lasting friendships and treasured memories. Among her many accomplishments was the achievement of a perfect 300 game, a testament to her exceptional skill and countless hours of dedication.

Beyond the trophies, titles, and travels, Linda will be remembered most for the thoughtful and loving person she was. She had a special gift for making others feel remembered and appreciated, often surprising family and friends with thoughtful, meaningful gifts. She also had a wonderful eye for fashion and took pride in coordinating her outfits with just the right jewelry. These little details were uniquely Linda and reflected the care and attention she brought to everything she did.

Linda's life was measured not only by the incredible accomplishments she achieved, but also by the love she shared, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched. Her competitive spirit, adventurous heart, thoughtful nature, and unmistakable sense of style will never be forgotten.

She bowled her way into history, traveled the world through her passion, and touched hearts through her kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Patricia (Gary) Olson; brother, David (Mona) Graham; sister-in-law, Tammy Graham; along with many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jerry (Laurinda), Robert, and John.

Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories they shared with Linda and the warmth, generosity, and kindness she brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Special Olympics or to the family for future donations.

Rest in peace, Linda. You will always be loved, remembered, and celebrated.

Send flowers to the service of Linda Ann Graham
