John Frederick Hall, 79, of Ankeny passed away on May 23, 2026.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2026, at Elkhart Christian Church (252 N.W. Washington Ave, Elkhart, IA). A private burial will take place at Brethren Cemetery in Elkhart, Iowa.

John was born on December 16, 1946, in Des Moines, IA, to Raymond and Barbara Hall. He graduated from Ankeny High School and attended Iowa State University. On September 2, 1972, John married Arlys Prange and they enjoyed 48 years of happy marriage before her passing. John made his career as a proud farmer and enjoyed time spent with family.

He is survived by his son, Andrew (Carmen) Hall; grandchildren, Sam, Anna, and Ginny; and siblings, Edwin Hall and Barbara Rae Hughs.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlys Hall; and his son, Benjamin Hall.
