Obituary For Daniel John Brunkow
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel John Brunkow, 57. Dan departed this life surrounded by loved ones on August 20, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Dan touched many lives with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Memorial Services of Iowa, (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, Iowa). A private burial will be held at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Dan spent his life building meaningful connections and living with purpose. He was known for his sense of humor, work ethic, kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether through his career in IT, his volunteer work with Thanks for the Freedom Fund, or simply lending a helping hand, he made a lasting impact on those around him.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Amy; children, Jordan (Lexi) Brunkow, Peyton (Anna) Brunkow, Colby Brunkow, and Camden (Katelyn Konfrst) Brunkow, all who will carry forward his legacy with love and pride.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the joy Dan brought to our lives and the memories that will live on forever.

Dan was amazing to work with. We lost touch, but I think about him often. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I had many laughs and good times with Amy and Dan when Amy and I were roommates in West Des Moines. Dan was a great guy and will be missed. May you all find comfort in your wonderful memories.
