Margaret Elaine Hatcher-Christiansen, 85, passed away on September 11, 2026, in Johnston, IA.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM.

Margaret loved reading, quilting, and cooking. She worked out of her home at Hinkey-Dinkey, Montgomery Ward, K-Mart, Target, and State Farm throughout her life.

She is survived by her siblings, Mary Ann Lewis, Shirley Hale, and Roger Hatcher; special friend, Uncle Robert Hale; daughters, Debby (Doug) Davis and Gale Petersen; daughter-in-law, Kim Klinkel-Christiansen; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Engle-Hatcher; father, Pershing Woodrow Hatcher; sister, Janet Lee Hatcher; husband, Gary Everett Christiansen; and son, Gary Everett Christiansen, Jr.
