Boh Boe “Naree”, passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 19.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.) A funeral service will begin at 11:45 a.m., at the same location, with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Boh Boe, lovingly known as Naree, was born on March 18, 2007, in Thailand. She moved to the United States with her family in 2014 and spent most of her childhood here. She grew up in Iowa and attended school from elementary school through high school.

Boh Boe “Naree” grew up in a family of six, with one older sister, two brothers, and two loving parents. She always worked hard and wanted to make her family proud. Although she grew up in the United States, she remained dedicated to learning about and staying connected to her roots. She participated in Don dance, representing and celebrating Karen culture. She was deeply loved by everyone she met and cherished every opportunity she was given to connect with others and share her culture. Naree dreamed of becoming a military medic, following in her mother’s footsteps. She wanted to become a healer and protector, helping and caring for others.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at UnityPoint Health – Methodist for the care and compassion they provided to Naree and our family during this difficult time. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to be by her side and share precious moments with her during her final moments. Their kindness, support, and care will always be remembered and appreciated.
