Kenneth “Kenny” Lee Bauge, 82, passed away July 18, 2026, in Ankeny, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Immediately following there will be a graveside service at Palestine Cemetery in Huxley, Iowa.

Kenny was born July 4, 1944, in Ames, Iowa, to Abner and Ruby Bauge. He attended high school in Huxley and graduated in 1962. After high school he went on to serve in the US Navy on an aircraft carrier (The USS Wasp) from 1962 to 1964.

After his time in the military, Kenny worked at Iowa State for a year before going to work at Firestone for 34 years. He was proud of his work building the largest tires that Firestone made for earthmovers. He was an avid outdoorsman with fishing being his specialty.

Kenny married Sandra Lois Steele on June 20, 1971, in Huxley, Iowa. Kenny and Sandra lived in Huxley for several years and owned the Dairy Sweet for a few years before selling the business. They were married 49 years before Sandra passed away in 2020.

Kenny is survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Leto; brother-in-law, Leonard Reeves; and a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Bauge; parents, Abner and Ruby Bauge; brother, Vernon (Shirley) Bauge; father-in-law, Patrick Steele; mother-in-law, Betty Steele; brothers-in-law, Larry Steele, Ralph Leto, Dennis Steele; and sisters-in-law, Lee Steele and Suzanne Reeves.
