William "Bill" Keith, age 78, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2026.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 North Ankeny Boulevard). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny (520 NW 36th Street).
Bill was born on June 6, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Kenneth and Erma Keith. He grew up in Traer, Iowa, where he attended grade school, and later earned his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
Bill worked as an engineer throughout his career and was known for his passion for projects, both within his profession and throughout his community. He enjoyed contributing to community initiatives, tackling new projects, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Keith; his children, Lori (Bob), Philip (Lisa), David (Monica), and Michael (Brooke); his grandchildren, Michael, Geoffrey, Logan, Andrew, Morgan, Mia, Joey, Jackson, Reagan, and Brody; and his four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret (Larry), and his brother, Richard (Karla).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Erma Keith.
Family and friends will remember Bill for his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and his habit of putting the needs of those around him before his own.
