Jeffrey Alan Clark, 67, a devoted father, husband, and friend, passed away on April 22, 2026, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He will be remembered for his quick wit, warm spirit, and the deep love and support he had for those closest to him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026, and a Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM; both at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Jeff was born on April 9, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1977. He was a resident of Ankeny, IA for over 25 years, and most recently worked for Infomax Office Systems. His work was his passion; he took great pride in his accomplishments and the relationships he developed with coworkers and customers over the years.

Jeff’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Whether it was sharing stories, attending sporting events, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments meant everything to him. Jeff was a natural athlete; he was passionate about sports and cheering on his favorite teams. His most rewarding activity was coaching many of his children’s sports teams and mentoring various others throughout his life.

An avid golfer, Jeff cherished time on the course, where he enjoyed both the game and the camaraderie. He also loved being out on the water, boating whenever he could and embracing the peace and freedom it brought. He enjoyed sailing and competing in regattas with his dad, Frank. Clear Lake was his happy place as he spent a significant amount of time there with family and friends.

Jeff’s humor was second-to none; he loved concerts, traveling, playing cards and never missed an opportunity to celebrate with food - it was one of his love languages and one he learned from his mother, Dorothy.

Though private in his faith, Jeff talked to God and prayed daily. Jeff’s giving nature reflected God, the ultimate gift-giver, who gave us His only Son, Jesus. In the last hours of Jeff’s life, Psalm 23 and The Lord’s prayer provided comfort and calm. The peace of God permeated his room as he passed out of this life into the next.

Jeff’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well lived surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Monica Cullen; children, Courtney Schulte (Adam), Morgan Smith, Claire Eilert (Will), Brady Clark (Simon), and Marshall Clark; grandchildren, Peyton, Mia, Addison, and Trice Schulte, Lannon and Calliope Smith, Ava and Andrew Eilert; stepchildren, Terence Cullen (Laura), Chase Cullen (Krista), Cassie Van Haalen (Hunter), Connor Cullen (Dianna); step-grandchildren, Truman, Foster, and Hudson Van Haalen, Camryn Cullen, Harper Cullen, and Georgia Cullen; and his sisters, their spouses, and various nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Clark; father-in-law, Roy James; brother, David; and his nephew, Jesse Peck.
