Anna Lee Olson, 76, passed away April 3, 2026, in Ankeny, IA.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd) with a funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Anna was born on November 11, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Lowell and Anneliese Jenkins.
In 1968, Anna met and married the love of her life, Ralph Olson, and welcomed two sons, Ryan and Jeffrey.
A diligent and hardworking woman, Annie remained employed throughout her life. She worked in nursing, banking, and production, always staying busy and productive. Beyond her careers, Annie took great pride in maintaining a warm, beautifully decorated, and impeccably organized home. Her exceptional cooking skills and talent for hosting made her the heart of every party and guests never left her table hungry. Above all, Annie cherished her grandchildren and took deep pride in hosting family dinners.
She is survived by her son, Ryan (Andi) Olson of Ames; grandchildren, Rori, Tyler, and Rowan Olson all of Ames; brother, Joe (Rose) Jenkins of Sioux Falls; sister-in-law, Gail Olson of Omaha; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, Lowell and Anneliese; parents-in-law, Raymond and Georgia; and infant son, Jeffrey.
