Larry Dean Corso, born June 12, 1961, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025 at the age of 64. Larry was a man whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit left an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He lived appreciating life’s small gifts—quiet joys that brought him peace and grounded those around him.
Born to James and Phyllis Corso in Knoxville, Iowa, Larry grew up with an appreciation for hard work and the simple things in life. He graduated from Newton Senior High School where he went on to work for Maytag until they closed. Larry continued to work for many years in manufacturing, where he was respected for his steady dedication and reliability. Outside of work, he found comfort in the outdoors. Whether he was fishing on the lake or walking the woods during hunting season, nature was a place where Larry felt most at home.
Above all, Larry treasured his family. He was a devoted father to his four children—Brandon (Kelsey), Kayla (Ryan), Monica, and Darren—who will forever hold close the love and guidance he gave them. He also took great joy in being a grandfather to Finley, Everly, Sawyer, and Noah, taking pride in watching them grow.
Larry’s life was built on kindness, humility, and love. He will be deeply missed for his witty humor and his extensive wealth of knowledge. Whether it was talking about cars, figuring out how to fix something around the house, or navigating the maze of taxes, he always had an answer. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched and in the moments he created with the people he loved most.
Private services will be held at a later date.
