Jeffrey Dean Sellers, age 60, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away at his home on April 30, 2025. Born on October 26, 1964, he was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and community member whose warmth and dedication touched many lives.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA).

A graduate of Ankeny High School, he was a talented athlete excelling in football and baseball. He also loved the outdoors and snow skiing and looked forward to the many memorable vacations to Colorado and Wyoming with family and friends. His love for sports carried into his first job, where he worked for the family athletic shoe and clothing business during high school. After graduation, he worked for a family friend in the roofing and gutter business, and later was self-employed specializing in construction, painting, and home improvement.

He was a dedicated member of his church and participated in two missionary trips to South Africa. His commitment to helping others was evident in his role as a sponsor to Alcoholics Anonymous, where he guided and supported several individuals on their journeys to recovery. During this time, he also managed the Salvation Army store in Ankeny, allowing him to help more people in need. He had a creative spirit and enjoyed designing and creating mosaic crosses and art pieces which many family members have hanging in their homes. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Tanner, in 2017, a heartbreaking loss that profoundly touched the course of his life.

Jeff is survived by his son, Jordan (Lydia) Sellers; parents, Dean and Joanne Sellers; grandchildren, Talyn, Jaden and Luna; sisters, Sherri (Roger) Brose and Kellie (Doug) Frame; nephews and nieces, Brandon, James, Valerie, Abbye and Jeremy, as well as many other relatives and friends.
