James Metheny, 72, passed away April 16, 2025, at Arbor Springs Dementia Care.

James grew up in West Des Moines and lived most of his adult life in Ankeny. He worked at and retired from John Deere.

James is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Jim; grandsons, Greyson and Lander; daughter, Julie; and sister, Charlene Schneider and her family.

Per James’ wishes, a graveside service was held for immediate family.
