Obituary For Michelle Houser

Eva “Michelle” Houser, passed away peacefully at her home on March 13, 2025, at the age of 66.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd).

Michelle was born September 2, 1958, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Bill and Eva Wallace. Growing up in Ottumwa, Marshalltown, Norwalk and Ankeny since 1966, where she graduated high school in 1977. She thought of Ankeny as her home and is where she raised her children. Shortly after high school, Michelle welcomed her son into the world in 1978. In 1999, she gave birth to her daughter Cheyenne.

Beyond her role as a mother and friend, Michelle had a passion for animals, music, and movies often times talking about movies in conversation, especially any Fast and Furious film. She spent most of her adult life working in the food service industry. Michelle was a person that never knew a stranger and was always willing to help a friend that was in need. The last few years of her life Michelle lived with her partner, John Vaughn, and her beloved cat, Bella.

Michelle is survived by her two children, Kenny (Krysta) Houser and Cheyenne (Braden Kramer) Houser; her grandchildren, Gabrielle (Tyler) Jass, Trae Houser, Jakoby Houser, Braxton Kramer, and Blakely Kramer; great grandson, Micah Jass; Brothers, Mike (Linda Locker) Wallace, Matt Wallace, and Nick (Maia) Wallace; Nephew, James Wallace; and Niece, Ivy Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Eva Wallace.
